Ear Cartilage
Ear cartilage is usually used as it is easy to harvest and has good elasticity for natural shape.
Autologous Rib Cartilage
Good material to make shape as it is strong and sturdy with low possibility of deformation. Disadvantage of scarring when harvesting follows.

Artificial Cartilage
Strong material with low possibility of deformation and there’s no need for additional surgery. Skin irritation can be improved by combining autologous cartilage.
Donated Rib Cartilage
Strong material that is harvested from cadavers with no additional surgery. Downside is that there’s potential for absorption after 4~5 years.
Mesh (Absorbable Artificial Cartilage)
Gently supports the tip of the nose with little to no irritation. Disadvantage is that there’s possibility of being absorbed and adhere on to the skin with deformation.

Inserting New Cartilage
